Wise, formerly known as Transferwise is bar none the best and cheapest way to send money! Wise is 3x cheaper than PayPal, and 5x cheaper than banks.

How does it work? Simple, Wise has bank accounts in the domestic and destination countries. Want to make a transfer? Transferwise debits money from your account in the starting country, and transfers money from its target country into your target account. This way, they can keep fees low – generally between 0.5 to 1.0%.
